What Are the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK+ Awards?

IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) and TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) awards are given to vehicles that meet or exceed expectations for crash prevention and safety testing. TSP recipients must receive ‘Good’ ratings in the small overlap front test, original moderate overlap front test, and updated side test, and be fitted with ‘Good’ or ‘Acceptable’ headlights and pedestrian front crash prevention as standard equipment. TSP+ recipients add to these standards with a ‘Good’ or ‘Acceptable’ rating in the updated moderate overlap front test for 2024.
