Best Body Style For You In Fall River, MA

The automotive industry is home to a number of vehicles designed to fit different lifestyles. Coupes and sedans may be similar, but are vastly different when it comes to benefits. Likewise, trucks and SUVs are similar in size, but their designs better fit people from different walks of life. Check out these brief descriptions of each type of vehicle, then head down to Empire Hyundai to see some new and used models in person.

Hyundai Coupes & Hatchbacks

Coupes are two-door cars with an athletic build that only feature seating for up to four passengers. Unlike sedans, coupes often have a very compact rear seat that fits just two small passengers. While kids will likely fit just fine, grown adults will have trouble getting situated.

Generally speaking, coupes usually have less than 33 cu ft. of rear interior space, resulting in a cramped seating and cargo area. Additionally, the two-door design can make accessing rear seat cargo more difficult as well. The coupe's sporty design doesn't mean a major performance boost, though. Coupes tend to share the same powertrains as sedans, which means they earn around the same fuel economy.

Hyundai Sedans

Sedans are essentially family-sized cars with seating for up to five passengers. Unlike coupes, sedans feature much more interior space for both passengers and cargo. The four-door design makes accessing rear seat cargo much easier than in a coupe. Kids and adults alike will fit just fine in most midsize sedans.

Designed with families in mind, sedans come equipped with a handful of features that cost extra in coupes. As expected, sedans are usually a little more expensive as well. No matter the body style, coupes and sedans that share powertrains will often feature comparable performance and fuel economy ratings.

Now that we've covered the cars, let's move on to more utility-driven vehicles: SUVs and trucks. These larger vehicles won't earn as good of fuel economy, but they're benefits appeal to other types of drivers.

Hyundai SUVs & Crossovers

Essentially the replacement for minivans and station wagons, SUVs are dedicated family haulers with a little more capability than the models they surpassed. SUVs tend to seat five people or more and offer much more interior space than cars.

Like trucks, they have the capability to tow and haul, but not anywhere near the weights that trucks can. That utility makes SUVs perfect for large families in need of more space and the utility to haul cargo like camping gear and mulch.

SUVs tend to be more expensive than trucks for the sheer fact that there's more of them. Luxury SUVs are commonplace while luxury trucks are not. As a result, an SUV may be more expensive, but it often comes with a vast array of amenities that aren't even offered in trucks.

Trucks

Trucks are capable vehicles that offer more versatility and utility than cars and SUVs. Their towing and hauling capacities tend to be much higher than that of SUVs. Thanks to their lighter engines and bed, trucks often earn higher fuel economy as well.

In addition to higher towing and payload capacities, trucks tend to feature four-wheel drive that further increases capability off-road. Drivers who tend to enjoy hitting the trails tend to flock to trucks for a reason.

Typically, trucks fit anywhere from two to six passengers. The bed offers more space to haul cargo than an SUV has to offer in the cargo bay. Trucks tend to lack many modern comfort amenities found in cars and SUVs.

Determining which vehicle best fits your lifestyle can only be done through research and test drives. Coupes and sedans are great for efficiency and commuting, but are lacking when it comes to versatility. Trucks and SUVs offer more utility, but cost more and aren't quite as good at the pump.
